A bit of a down year in 2009 going from 9th in the 2008 Order of Merit to 24th in 2009 but he did make 7 of 9 cuts and finished in the Top 10 at the TELUS Edmonton Open (T-3), the ATB Financial Classic (8th), and at the Roxul Jane Rogers Championship (T-8)... Qualified for the 2009 U.S. Open where he shot rounds of 74-72... Co-winner of the 2008 Most Improved Canadian Award along with Dale Vallely... Lost a playoff to Spencer Levin at the 2008 Spring International... Finished 2nd at the TELUS Edmonton Open... Finished T-6 at the Seaforth Country Classic... T-7 at the Desjardins Montreal Open... Lost his exempt status after finishing 121st on the 2007 Order of Merit but regained it for 2008 by shooting 71-75-74-71-291 at the 2007 Fall Qualifying School...
