Biography: Best finish of 2009 was a T-10 at the Desjardins Montreal Open... Won the 2008 San Luis Potosi Open after missing his first four cuts of the season... Made 8 of 13 cuts in 2007 with a T-12 at the Riviera Nayarit Classic his best finish where he closed with a pair of 67s... Made 7 of his first 9 cuts before struggling somewhat during the second half of season... In 2006, Surber finished 52nd on the Order of Merit to retain exempt status... Made the first cut of 2006 and then missed his next four before making his final seven... Played his way onto the Canadian Tour in 2005, thanks in part to a T-5 at the Michelin Morelia Classic...
