PGA TOUR Canada announces Canadian Armed Forces Outreach Program

(May, 2013 – Oakville, ON) – PGA TOUR Canada and the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services have created the Military Outreach Program, honouring currently serving and veteran members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and welcoming them to PGA TOUR Canada events.

The program will see that all currently serving members of the CAF and Veterans of the CAF will be given complimentary access to all PGA TOUR Canada events. Throughout the season events will also have Military Appreciation Day celebrations that will include deserving service members at each PGA TOUR Canada event placing and removing the flagstick at designated holes, honouring CAF personnel.  PGA TOUR Canada players will also be conducting golf clinics for all active military personnel, giving troops a chance to learn the game or improve their skills from some of the Tour’s best players at selected events.
