CANADIAN PROFESSIONAL GOLF TOUR INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The Canadian Professional Golf Tour (CPGT) requires a Communications & Media Relations Intern and a Marketing & Sponsorship Intern for September – January and January – April.

Communications & Media Relations Internship

This position requires a person with a keen interest in writing as well as a strong command of grammar in either English or French. This person should also be adept at online research and have good computer skills.

The position calls for a person with excellent interpersonal skills who is willing to work in a team-oriented environment and takes initiative. The individual will work at the CPGT Head Office in Oakville.

Roles include
- General office duties, office support, mailing, inventory management, customer service, filing and updating records etc
- Work with the marketing & communications department in several writing projects, including the research and writing of player profiles (active and retired players) for new online and printed media materials.
- 2009 media guide

-Newsletter creation and editing
- Web site maintenance and updates
- Media List compilations
- Other projects as assigned.

Qualifications
-Suitable for Post Secondary Student;(Gain experience in Sport Management and Administration)
-Must have excellent writing and grammar skills in either English or French
-Detail oriented, with good organizational skills
-Computer literate and competence with Microsoft Office Programs and online skills
-Demonstrated ability to work independently
-Pleasant, courteous, enjoys working as part of a team of staff and volunteers

Marketing & Sponsorship Internship

This position requires a person with a keen interest in marketing & sponsorship as well as strong research and presentation skills. This person should also have strong online and computer skills.

This position calls for a person with excellent interpersonal skills who is willing to work in a team-oriented environment and takes initiative. The individual will work at the CPGT Office in Oakville.

Roles include

- General office duties
- Work with the marketing & communications department on marketing & sponsorship initiatives, including sponsorship research and creation of sponsorship presentations for potential partners

- Creation of sponsorship reports for existing sponsors and partners and other servicing requirements

- Sponsorship contact list compilations
- Other projects as assigned
