FALL Q-SCHOOL SET FOR SEPTEMBER 25-29 AT CROSSWINDS

(Oakville, Ont., August 3, 2012) - The Canadian Professional Golf Tour has officially opened registration for Fall Qualifying School. Set to take place at Crosswinds Golf & Country Club in Burlington, ON, a total of 15 exempt cards and 15 non-exempt cards will be available for the 2012 season.
This year's Fall Q-School will be four rounds, played on September 25 through the 28th. Practice rounds will take place on Monday September 24.
This will mark the 28th consecutive year that the Canadian Tour has offered a Fall Qualifying School. Since 1985 the Fall School has been played at Royal Ashburn (Formerly Thunderbird) and Hidden Lake. 2012 marks the first year Q-School will be played at Crosswinds Golf & Country Club.
Players who gain cards at the Fall Q-School will earn status for the 2013 season. The 2013 season could see a number of added benefits for players on the Canadian Tour as a result of on-going discussions with the PGA TOUR.
A number of Canadian Tour alumni got their start by earning a card at the Fall Q-School. They include PGA TOUR Winner Ian Leggatt, PGA TOUR member's Graham DeLaet and David Hearn as well as Web.com Tour winner Bryan DeCorso, Asian Tour winner Rick Gibson and notable Canadian Tour players like Derek Gillespie, Wes Heffernan and James Love who now plays the Web.com Tour.
