SLOAN DOES IT AGAIN
 - Wins Unofficial Pro Am in Kamloops -

(June 15, 2012 - Kamloops, BC) - Roger Sloan of Merritt, BC has won for the second straight year in Kamloops. Sloan, who grew up just 30 minutes from Sun Rivers Golf Resort, shot a final round 5-under 67 to clinch the victory. Sloan is now two for two in Kamloops having won the 2011 Western Championship at Rivershore Golf Links which was a full field official event on the Canadian Tour.

"I really enjoy playing close to home and just have really good vibes I guess," admitted Sloan, who is heading to his engagement party at his parents house following the Pro Am dinner. "I hit the ball really solid today and hopefully this win even though it's unofficial will give me some momentum for Edmonton next week," added Sloan who intends to play the full Canadian Tour schedule this summer.

Sloan's two day total was an impressive 8-under par which was enough for a five shot victory. David Dragoo and Canadian Tour rookie Mark Hubbard tied for second with a two day total of 3-under par.

Other notable scores from Sun Rivers included a final round 3-under par from Canadian Tour rookie Tarquin MacManus of Australia. Nationwide Tour member Stuart Anderson and fellow Aussie Matt Jager matched MacManus at 2-under for the tournament.

The team component of the Pro Am was decided in a playoff where the team of David Dragoo and Sandi Heney proved victorious. Finishing in second place in the team competition was Roger Sloan and Yves Lacasse

"I really enjoyed this experience tremendously and playing with David was a lot of fun," said Heney after her playoff victory. "I wasn't here to win necessarily but to get the win was a huge surprise and I will remember this fondly," added Heney, who also got a private lesson from Dragoo following their first round.

The 2012 Home Hardware Sun Rivers Pro Am was an unofficial event and money earned at the event will not count towards the 2012 money list. A total of 36 professionals competed in the event which was played over two days at Sun Rivers Golf Resort.
