(August 12, 2012 - Windsor, ON) - Canadian Tour player Scott Harrington narrowly missed claiming victory on the Web.Com Tour Sunday, posting 21-under par at the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper before losing in a playoff to Chris Wilson. 

 

Harrington, who has two top-10s on the Canadian Tour in four events this season, earned $67,500 and Special Temporary Membership for the remainder of the season, starting in two weeks after the next reshuffle. 

 

The 31-year old from Eugene, Oregon was looking to become the first active Canadian Tour player to win on the Web.Com Tour since Peter Tomasulo in 2005. Wilson and Harrington both attended Northwestern University and have become good friends.

 

"If I could be in a playoff with anybody in the field, it would be him," said Harrington, who co-led after the first round at the ATB Financial Classic presented by TELUS. Harrington has $12,860.71 in Canadian Tour earnings this season to sit 16th on the Order of Merit. 

 

By virtue of his top-25 finish, Harrington will be in the field at this week's Midwest Classic presented by Cadillac. Harrington debuts at 55th on the Web.Com Tour money list, just $55,000 behind a top-25 spot and a PGA TOUR card for 2013.

 

Victoria, BC's Stuart Anderson, also a Canadian Tour member and the 2011 Canadian Tour Championship winner, finished T-6 for his best result of the season, three shots back of the playoff.
